The Problem

WordPress SEO is designed to be done one post at a time.

Plugins like Yoast and Rank Math are powerful tools — but they live inside the WordPress editor, and they work on one post at a time. There's no way to pull back and see the state of your entire site's SEO at a glance, identify the worst performers, and fix them systematically.

For a site with 50, 100, or 200 posts — many of them published years ago with no SEO metadata at all — this is a genuine problem with no practical solution inside WordPress.

🔎
No site-wide visibility

There's no dashboard view showing SEO scores across all your posts and pages. You can't sort by worst-performing, filter by missing metadata, or see score distribution at a glance.

One post at a time is not a strategy

Opening each post in the WordPress editor to manually write meta titles and descriptions for 150 posts would take days. There's no bulk operation. No AI assistance. No way to move fast.

🔌
Plugin dependency and conflicts

SEO plugins need to be installed on every WordPress site you manage. Switch plugins and you lose your metadata. Run two plugins and they conflict. For agencies managing multiple client sites, this multiplies quickly.

📄
Pages are often overlooked

Most SEO workflows focus on blog posts. But static pages — About, Services, Contact, landing pages — also need SEO metadata and are often the pages that matter most for organic search.

How It Works

From zero visibility to
site-wide SEO control in four steps.

01
Connect your site

Add your WordPress site in GIP Admin. Install the GIP Connector plugin with one click — it handles meta rendering and the REST API bridge.

02
Pull all content

Click "Pull All Posts" in Site Audit. GIP pages through the WordPress API and imports every published post and page — however many there are.

03
Audit and score

Every post and page is scored for SEO quality. See the average score, score distribution, and which items are missing meta descriptions — all in one view.

04
Fix and republish

Select the lowest-scoring content and bulk-generate AI metadata. Review, adjust, and publish back to WordPress. The GIP Connector renders the new meta tags live.

serious SEO management.

Site Audit

See your entire site's SEO
in a single ranked view.

Pull all posts and pages from any connected WordPress site. GIP scores every item for SEO quality — title length, meta description presence and quality, focus keyword, readability — and presents the results in a ranked table sorted from worst to best.

  • Posts and pages audited — not just blog posts
  • Sort by score ascending to find the worst performers first
  • Filter by score band: Poor, Needs Work, Good, Excellent
  • Summary cards: average score, score distribution, missing meta count
  • Type badges distinguish posts from pages at a glance
  • Posts publish directly back to WordPress via the API. Pages use a safe suggestion model — GIP generates the improved HTML for you to review and paste, so critical site pages are never modified automatically
  • Re-run the audit any time to track improvement

Bulk AI Generation

Fix 50 posts in the time
it takes Yoast to fix one.

Select any number of posts — typically starting with the lowest-scoring — and generate AI-powered SEO titles, meta descriptions, and focus keywords for all of them at once. GIP uses Claude AI to read each post's content and generate metadata that reflects what the article is actually about.

  • Bulk select posts by score band or manual selection
  • AI reads the actual post content — not a keyword prompt
  • Generates SEO title, meta description, and focus keyword per post
  • Review generated metadata before publishing
  • Edit individual items before pushing to WordPress
  • Publish back with one click — GIP Connector renders the tags live

GIP Connector

One lightweight plugin.
Full meta tag control.

The GIP Connector is a minimal WordPress plugin that bridges GIP and your live site. It renders SEO meta tags — including Open Graph and Twitter Cards — directly in the page head, and provides a REST API bridge so GIP can read and write SEO data without touching the WordPress editor.

  • Outputs meta description, canonical URL, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags
  • Overrides the WordPress page title with the GIP SEO title when set
  • Smart conflict detection — defers to Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, or SEOPress if any are active
  • Meta box in WordPress post editor so your team can see what GIP has set
  • Diagnostic endpoint to verify exactly what meta is rendering on any post
  • Clean uninstall — removes all GIP meta fields from the database on deletion
  • One-click install from within GIP — no manual ZIP upload required

AIOSEO Not detected

Yoast SEO is active on this site. GIP Connector is deferring meta output to Yoast. GIP will still write SEO data via the REST API — Yoast will render it.

🛡
Important — Page Safety Model

WordPress pages are never modified automatically.

Posts and pages are treated differently because the risk is different. A blog post going wrong is inconvenient. A homepage or service page being overwritten incorrectly is a serious problem.

For pages, GIP generates SEO suggestions and presents them in a panel with four views: Compare (side-by-side before and after), Suggested (the improved version), Original (unchanged), and HTML (ready to copy and paste into your WordPress editor). You review, you decide, you apply. GIP never pushes changes to pages via the API.

In Practice

A 200-post site with patchy SEO,
fixed in an afternoon.

Workflow — SEO Site Audit

150 posts and pages. Inconsistent or missing SEO metadata throughout.

Before GIP SEO Manager: no visibility, no practical way to fix at scale.

1
Connect the site and install the GIP Connector

Add the WordPress site URL in GIP Admin > Sites. GIP detects whether the Connector plugin is installed and offers a one-click install if not. The Connector handles meta tag rendering and the REST API bridge — no configuration needed.

⏱ Under 2 minutes from zero to connected
2
Switch to SEO Manager mode and run Site Audit

Toggle to SEO Manager mode from the Product Mode selector. Go to Site Audit, select the connected site, and click Pull All Posts. GIP pages through the WordPress REST API and imports every published post and page — regardless of how many there are.

3
Review the audit results

The audit dashboard shows your average SEO score, score distribution across four bands, and how many items are missing meta descriptions. Click any summary card to filter the table to that band — click "Poor" to see just the worst performers.

4
Bulk-generate SEO for the lowest-scoring content

Sort by score ascending. Select all posts scoring under 40. Click "Generate SEO". GIP reads each post's content and generates an SEO title, meta description, and focus keyword using Claude AI. Review the results in the table — open individual items to adjust before publishing.

🤖 AI reads the actual content — not a keyword prompt
5
Publish back to WordPress — with a safety model for pages

For posts, select reviewed items and bulk-publish back to WordPress. GIP Connector renders the new meta tags, Open Graph tags, and canonical URLs on the live pages immediately. For pages — homepages, service pages, landing pages — GIP takes a different approach: it generates the improved HTML and presents it in a suggestions panel with Compare, Suggested, Original, and HTML tabs. You review the changes, copy the HTML, and paste it into the WordPress editor yourself. Critical site pages are never modified automatically.

🛡 Pages are never auto-modified — you stay in control
6
Track the improvement

Re-run the audit. The average score rises as content gets SEO treatment. Work through the remaining bands — Needs Work, then Good — to push the entire site to Excellent over time.
